
foos are little fastfoods::: homemade on the cheap. they mimic burgers, omelets, pancakes. foos can be gussied with arugula; anointed with mayo; dipped into spicy soy ginger sauce; stuffed between pita or wonder bread; added to rice, ramen.
::: soy products can sub for hot sausage if you absolutely must. _____________________________
2-5 tbsp hot sausage meat
1 egg (or equiv egg white)
1/4 tsp baking soda
1-2 tsp bisquick (ap flour, if desired)
1 tsp cornstarch
DASH cider vinegar
fresh slivers
of jalapeno (if desired)
scallions
pinch cardamom? (if desired)
1/4 tsp cayenne
good 2 tbsp soy sauce
________________________________ gather all ingredients; eliminate unavbl items; use 'if desired' @ your discretion. whisk everything with a fork; this takes a bit of energy. the rising ingredients help to achieve a fluffy foo. fry 325deg in a tiny bit of oil slicked in. foos allow you to wait for them to cook. hot sausage can be omitted (if desired). we need 2 fry guys in bacon fat; if not avbl, use veg oil (preferably peanut or canola or whatyagot).after making one foo using ap flour w/o baking soda and vinegar, we tested. fine and tasty.adding baking soda/vinegar lightens the little 2 inch foos. we love them. soda/vinegar lightens the little 2 inch foos. we love them.
